Stella May I ask why it's so hard to find the perfect sunblock?
Why of course! By this time of year, I start noticing that my sunblock is not working like I thought. It's always too greasy or heavy or a very heavy white cast. This year I thought I should try something different and then Sephora release their Sun Safety Kit! They actually have something similar to this every year, but this is the first time I picked one up.
What it is: a fifteen piece kit that feature SPF products. Value is $127.

So much bulky packaging! It was also not very fun trying to pluck out eat product from the plastic. You basically have to pop them out.
All the products.
Here are just the SPF products. 8 products that are your basic sunblock. I am most excited to try the Kate Somerville one. You already know that I got a sample of the tarte one (it came in this month's Play box) and it's just feels like a standard one. I do like the pump and the cap! The Murad one also looks interesting since it is a clear gel. I hope it combats the white cast issue. My current favorite sunblock is the Clarins one, but it's a previous version before they changed their formula. I am curious to know if the reformulation is also good.
The other exciting products included? SPF setting sprays. These would be so great to have on the go & it won't disturb the makeup. I have been trying to get better about reapplying my SPF throughout the day. I was looking to just getting the Supergoop! one before I saw the this kit.
Two BB Creams from Boscia and Dr. Jart+. The Boscia is a self-adjusting shade, while the Dr. Jart+ is 01 Light-Medium. These things never really match my shade so we shall see if they will work.
Something I probably won't use? The self-tanning product. I actually haven't heard very good reviews about this product. It sounds cool: tanning in the shower. (Mind you I am not a tanning person, so I probably won't be using it.) But apparently you have to stand out of the water for three minutes.. that's cold. The Fresh lip balm is half size of the full sized cult favorite. It's the same size that was offered as a birthday treat a few years ago. I'm excited to have this one again. The Dr. Dennis Gross one is a dark spot defense product but as I am reading the back, you use it just as a regular sun block product.
All of the product ingredients are inside the little booklet. How cute is that little tassel?
Everything in the beach bag without the bulky packaging. The beach bag is lightly lined too! Perfect for travel. It's also worth noting that $20 goes to The Skin Cancer Foundation.
Have you ever got the Sun Safety Kit?
