Stella May I know your favorite beauty items are last month?
Of course you may. If you saw Monday's Monthly Favorites post (here), then you might have noticed I completely skipped out in the beauty category. Well that's because there were quite a few of them. For today's At First Blush post, I will be sharing last month's beauty favorites.First three things are my must haves for right before bed time. T-B: Marc Jacobs Lip Lock Moisture Balm in 10 Makeout, Lush Lemon Fluttery, and Josie Maran Argan Balm.
Normally I reserve all my potted lip balms for night time, but this one has been my go to last month. It is very moisturizing and has a lot of slip. It's one that I will still feel in the morning. Next I will apply the Lemon Fluttery Cuticle Balm all over my cuticles, and then apply the Argan balm on any scars. I know it's kind of ridiculous to have three balms but I find they are very different. (Although I have used them interchangeably on lazy nights. Lip balm as an on-the-go cuticle savior!) The cuticle balm keeps my cuticles from looking dry and the argan balm keeps my scars moisturized. (dry scars heal much slower, so I add on this extra balmness to keep them hydrated.)
This lip product was also in my summer lip products I posted about last month and this Revlon Balm Stain has been my go to. I don't do a full swipe of this though! That has way too much coverage and I would much rather it look like a stain. I just dab the crayon onto my lips and use my finger to define the shape and pat the product in.
Here are the bottoms to the two lip products. R-L: Marc Jacobs lip balm and Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in 025 Valentine. This is also the moment I found out that the lip balm has an SPF of 18!
Lastly is the Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Crayon in Blaquer. This was one of two things in Sephora's Birthday Gift this year. (the other is a lip stick I have yet to use.) The thing that surprised me most is that it's a twist up liner! That just makes it so convenient for me. My everyday makeup consists of tight lining with this Gel Crayon, swipe of mascara, and a little dab of the balm stain. The liner is so black and so pigmented that I find a little bit just applied to my tight line is enough. The problem I have is that it's so hard to remove! Any suggestions for eye makeup removal?
& that's it! My first beauty monthly favorites. As you can see from this picture my argan balm and cuticle balm are very worn. They are both a little pricey for what they are but they have lasted for years now. Since a little bit goes a long way, I do find that they are worth it! (It's also a great product to ask samples for.) What are your beauty favorites last month?
