Stella, May I know what is the deal with Friday the 13th?

Did you know today is the only Friday the 13th for the entire year of 2016?! For today's Fiddle-Faddle Friday post, what would be more appropriate to share some things I have found on this special day. First, there really isn't a clear reason why we fear Friday the 13th so much. Some have attributed it to biblical or Knights of Templar origins. What we do know is that the 1906 Friday the 13th book, by Thomas Lawson, perpetuated the superstition. Then the release of Friday the 13th movie in 1980 continued the superstition to this day and with it Jason's famous hockey mask.
Those that fear the day have paraskevidekatriaphobia. The fear is real as it affects millions of people and businesses. It's said that airlines suffer from losses on this specific day.
The master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock was born on August 13, 1899. On a Friday!
Although there has been a lot of superstition surrounding this day, history has shown that hospitals visits, accidents, and natural disasters have had little to no effect.
Lastly, fear not as there can only be a maximum of 3 Friday the 13th in a year! Oh and it is Taylor Swift's lucky number.
Happy Friday the 13th!
